Born on April 24, 1982, into the royal family of Esure Ijebu Imushin in Ogun State, Dr. Adeadebayo Abdulkabir Shuaib has carved an exemplary path as one of Nigeria’s most versatile and accomplished financial professionals. His journey, marked by academic brilliance, professional excellence, and deep commitment to public service, stands as a model of leadership in finance, accounting, and human capital development.

Dr. Adeadebayo's early academic prowess emerged at the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, where he graduated as the overall best student in accounting and simultaneously served as President of the Student Association a testament to his unique blend of intellectual and leadership talent. He later expanded his academic portfolio with multiple advanced degrees, including a Ph.D. in Accounting from Lincoln University College, Malaysia, a master’s in accounting & finance from the University of Northampton, and an MBA in Human Resources from the National Open University of Nigeria. He also holds two bachelor's degrees, one in Accounting & Finance from Derby University, UK, and another in Economics from the University of the Dominican Republic.

A Fellow of multiple prestigious professional bodies including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK), and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) Dr. Adeadebayo is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) accredited by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, USA. His credentials reflect a rare breadth and depth of professional mastery.

Dr. Adeadebayo’s career spans over two decades across the private sector, government institutions, and non-governmental organizations, where he has consistently held leadership roles. He currently serves as the Director of Finance and Administration at Health Systems Consult Limited (HSCL), leading financial and operational strategy for the USAID-funded ACE-3 project. In this role, he is responsible for USAID PEPFAR reporting, organizational risk management, donor fund stewardship, and strategic oversight of financial operations.

Previously, Dr. Adeadebayo served as Director of Finance and Administration at Finpact Development Foundation, where he strengthened grant accountability mechanisms and internal financial systems. His career journey also includes his work as Finance & Account Lead at Abuja Technology Village, and earlier, as a Finance and Compliance Specialist at Catholic Relief Services (CRS), where he played key roles in donor compliance and project close-outs. His foundational experience came from Dimeji Olatunbosun & Co., where he rose through the ranks to become Audit Manager, managing audit engagements for clients across multiple sectors and mentoring junior professionals.

Outside of his full-time roles, Dr. Adeadebayo is the Co-Founder and Pioneer Director of Studies at Topnotch Learning Centre, an ICAN-accredited tuition center in Abuja. There, he has mentored over 3,356 ICAN and ACCA Chartered Accountants, authored the widely used textbook “IFRS Relief”, and led the development of ICAN’s Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) study text. His work in professional training has made lasting impacts on both students and institutions, including facilitation for organizations such as FIRS, NNPC, CBN, SON, CAC, NPA, and others.

In 2024, Dr. Adeadebayo’s exceptional commitment to professional excellence was recognized when he was elected as the 14th Chairman of ICAN Abuja and District Society. He was fondly named "Mr. Performer" by nearly 3,000 ICAN members for the unprecedented transformation and investment opportunities he ushered into the district during his tenure.

In recognition of his service to community and youth empowerment, he was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Otunba Bobaseto of Esure Kingdom by HRH Oba Olalekan Abdulsamad Kasali, the Obelu of Esure Ijebu Imushin, on November 7th, 2024. This honor symbolizes his dedication to societal growth beyond boardrooms and spreadsheets.

Dr. Adeadebayo has also facilitated numerous technical training courses both locally and internationally, covering topics such as IFRS implementation, IPSAS adoption, fraud detection, financial instruments, and risk-based auditing. His teaching and consulting footprint spans critical national institutions and regulatory agencies, confirming his reputation as a top-tier subject matter expert in financial governance.

He has received several awards, notably being part of the Best Finance and Admin Team of the Year 2024, awarded by USAID, and continues to publish articles in academic and professional journals.

A man deeply rooted in values and family, Dr. Adeadebayo is married to Mrs. Shuaib Obedat Oluranti, a fellow Chartered Accountant, and together they are blessed with children.
